About Joanna Ireland – Founder of Relocate to Cornwall
Relocate to Cornwall was founded by Chartered Surveyor Joanna Ireland. Joanna is “proper Cornish”, as she likes to say, and after spending her childhood in the Truro and Falmouth area on the Cornish south coast, she felt called to London to see what the “Big Smoke” was all about.
Here, Joanna worked with one of the country’s leading Property Consultancy & Chartered Surveyor firms, dealing with acquisitions and disposals of large portfolios of properties. This experience of underwriting and completing due diligence on properties now differentiates Joanna from her peers, and is invaluable for our clients throughout the property buying process.
Joanna holds a MSc in Real Estate and is a Chartered Surveyor with MRICS accreditation. This, combined with her knowledge of Cornwall, puts her in an excellent position to be able to advise on true property values as well as finding the most suitable areas for your unique requirements.
Recently, Joanna completed a new build in Carbis Bay, St Ives. Having overseen the project herself, she not only knows every element that goes into building a property but also has extended her list of trusted tradesmen – a vital tool in her arsenal and, by extension, for her clients.

Through this work, she has well-established connections within the Cornish real estate market.

Joanna holds a master’s degree in Real Estate, in addition to an Economics and Finance degree at undergraduate level. Across her studies and subsequent real estate career, she has had first-hand practical experience in Real Estate Valuation, Acquisition and Disposals, Property Law, Real Estate Asset Management and Portfolio Management.
