The History of Wadebridge

The earliest records of Wadebridge and its origin story go as far back as 1313 when it is said that a market and two fairs were granted to Wade, within the manor of Pawton. Made up of two parishes on either side of the River Camel, Wadebridge was initially established as a market town but later found its calling in the wool industry.

Now known for featuring on the ever-popular Camel Trail, the third most popular tourist attraction in Cornwall, the town boasts some breathtaking views.
